Start your morning right here in Gateway at Skinny Dogz Brunchery, where the name says it all—great breakfast and brunch served on a scenic, dog-friendly patio overlooking the water. Just down the road, Fat Katz Sports Bistro welcomes leashed dogs to its covered patio alongside burgers, sandwiches, and craft beer.

Head to Gulf Coast Town Center for Burntwood Tavern, a contemporary American tavern with a dog-friendly patio, weekend brunch, and happy hour, or Islamorada Fish Company, where outdoor seating makes it easy to enjoy fresh seafood with your pup beside you. Along the Daniels Parkway corridor, Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill serves up casual Southwest Florida favorites on its outdoor deck, Mellow Mushroom pairs a large patio with pizzas, salads, and plenty of vegan and gluten-free options, and Shrimp Shack offers laid-back, locally owned seafood with pet-friendly outdoor seating.

Right in the neighborhood, the Gateway Dog Park at Sherman Soccer Complex offers roughly an acre of fenced, off-leash space operated by Gateway Services CDD—note that electronic gate access and registration are required. A little farther out, Barkingham Dog Park at Buckingham Park combines an off-leash area with primitive trails for on-leash exploring. For longer outings, John Yarbrough Linear Park is a favorite for walking, biking, and wildlife watching, with convenient access from the Daniels Parkway and Six Mile Cypress area.

In nearby Estero, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming is worth the short drive for its in-store dog bakery—all-natural treats, birthday cakes, and pastries—plus professional grooming, premium food, toys, and accessories. We are a pet-friendly community! We allow no more than 2 pets per apartment and have breed restrictions. Our company utilizes PetScreening to monitor all four-legged residents. On this platform, every user will receive a portable, digital passport profile that captures and stores all your relevant pet and animal information including custom attestations, policy acknowledgements, vaccinations, and requirements. Because it’s digital, you can easily share your passport profile with our community staff.

Breed restrictions include: Akitas, American Bulldog, Boxer, Cane Corsos, Chow Chows, Dobermans, Dalmation, German Shepherds, Huskies, Karelian Bear Dog, Malamutes, Pit Bulls, Presa Canario, Mastiffs, Rottweilers, St. Bernard, Staffordshire Terriers, and any Wolf Hybrid.
